Daily Roundup of Yukirin related events on July 25th including Handshake Event and Fireworks Festival.
The Green Flash individual handshake event took place on April 5th at Makuhari Messe in Chiba. The night before, Yukirin stayed up late watching the latest 2nd Gen Draft Girls videos which featured each girl dancing and singing to a song. She probably went to sleep around 3am! Yukirin updated 755 during the lunch break and after the hs event. Translations below. Yukirin spilled corn soup all over her skirt! LOL that clumsy girl! Yukirin also gave Riorin some lesson clothing that she no longer wore so Riorin was super high tension! lol https://plus.google.com/115776582911608446200/posts/4spV31WRbFZ She also tweeted about the HS Event but no blog this time. We later learned that all the 2nd Gen Draft girls were at the handshake event to meet with all the 48Group captains and scoutmans. Yukirin also went and met with the girls to gather notes (which explains why she didn’t go to sleep and was watching the youtube videos). Yukirin really cares about the future of AKB. Following the shuffle annoucement that took place on March 26th at Saitama Super Arena, quite a few NMB48 members expressed their sadness over Yukirin’s NMB kennin (concurrent position) being cancelled on Twitter, Ameba Blog and g+. The 5th AKB48 Janken Taikai took place on Sept 17 at Nippon Budokan. AKB,SKE, NMB and HKT members took part. The winner this time gets a solo debut, while remaining senbatsu members will get a coupling song on the single. Besides who will be the winner of the tournament, another main focus is what will the members be wearing. Check out all the outfits on Nikkan Sports here: Janken Outfits Just like last year, Yukirin chose to wear an outfit from her drama. This year, she’s a hostess in Kurofuku Monogatari so this meant, she wore a rather revealing dress, very sexy! Yukirin’s first round match was against Team B’s Hashimoto Hikari. As a surprise, Sasaki Nozomi who is the heroine in the drama appeared as a guest! Two sexy ladies on stage! Yukirin beat Hikari in Round 1 to face off Team 8’s Honda Hitomi in Round 2. After winning Round, she faced Sayanee in Round 3 for the opportunity to be in senbatsu. Right after beating Sayanee, Yukirin apologized to Sayanee. Yukirin actually made to Best 16!!! Sadly, she was unable to move further as she lost to Team B’s Sayaya in Round 1 of Best 16. Miruki eventually won, beating Kojiharu. Following the win, a special announcement was made regarding AKB48’s 38th single. The senbatsu members were announced. The 38th single will be centered by Mayu and HKT48’s Sakura. It will feature 32 members including Yukirin. Because of the long list of members, Yukirin’s name was announced rather late. The 38th single will be released on November 26, 2014. Following the tournament, Yukirin wrote on 755 and answered a few questions. Yukirin mentioned she thought her name wouldn’t be called for the 38th single. She was asked why she apologized to Sayanee. Yukirin said it’s cause she wanted Sayanee to solo debut. She felt like she robbed an important opportunity from the juniors. (You can definitely see from Yukirin’s reaction when she beat Sayanee that she almost didn’t want it to happen) Yukirin also mentioned about why she doesn’t declare her desires. Rough translation… Kashiwagi Yuki 2014-09-18 00:01:48 It’s been said that I don’t have any desires. Especially for the janken tournament. lol That’s not the case. Even if I expose my desires, I feel that no one will feel good cause of it. I prefer to keep it to myself. When it is achieved, I ‘ll like to do a “guts pose” in my heart. I try to say things such as this,...

The AKB48 Group Summer Festival is a three day event at Makuhari Messe from 8/8 to 8/10. 8/8 replaces the 6/14 Labrador Retriever national handshake event. 8/9 to 8/10 is the schedule Labrador Retriever individual handshake event. During the 3 days, there are lots of activities and performances. Just like any festival, there are games and food within the main hall area. There are also areas where you can get autographs from the 48group members. Yukirin held a mini solo live on 8/8 at 12pm. A separate post was written about Yukirin’s solo live at the festival here: http://kashiwagiyukirin.com/2014/08/09/2667/ After the solo live, Yukirin took part in the Karaoke Kami-7 Songs Countdown. She performed EZ DO DANCE with Sasshi and Miichan as TRF with Yukirin as YU-KI, Miichan as SAM and Sasshi as DJ Koo. Looked like a riot! Following the karaoke contest and some rest, Yukirin enjoyed the festivities at the festival. At one point, her & Sasshi went out to the main area to greet fans and have some fun themselves. They went to the main hall where a taiko drum was setup and chatted with fans. Lots of videos and pictures were taken by fans of Yukirin and Sasshi. The full video of Yukirin & Sasshi at the drum: One of my favourite moments is went Sasshi did a monomane of Yukirin dancing to Kokoro no Placard: http://www.mobypicture.com/user/rinoancy/view/17165847 Another funny moment was when Mayu interrupted Yukirin & Sasshi’s drumming: http://instagram.com/p/rbk-osNJEX/ So then Yukirin & Sasshi tried again: http://instagram.com/p/rbkmjpNJEC/ Sasshi & Yukirin also visited Yukirin Robot and took pictures with the Robot. The Yukirin Robot is on display for all three days at the festival. They then head to the food area and tried the frozen cantaloupe ice cream. The amazing thing about this festival, and many many fans have remarked about it was how close the members got to mingle with the fans in the festivities area. Photo collections shared by many fans online. Thank you Yukirin fans! Source: Fans online (LOL) @Yukiriiiin__K...

Yukirin held a short solo live on Friday, August 8th at the AKB48 Group Summer Festival at Makuhari Messe Stage ‘A’. The live was supposed to start at 11:30am but was delayed till 12pm. Part of the reason may have been that they waited till the SKE Janken tournament finished. The setlist was as leaked by Yukirin herself the other day. LOL SETLIST (Start Time: 12:00) Overture History of Yukirin Video M1 Shonichi M2 Flying Get M3 Everyday, Kachuusha MC1 “I’m top batter. Although it’s a weekday and at a time like this, to have this many people here, thank you very much!” Yukirin joked about leaking the setlist on twitter. “Even if you have seen the setlist, please keep the excitement high!” M4 Kuchi Utsushi no Chocolate M5 Two years later Video M6 Shortcake (Unplugged Version) MC2 M7 Ibiza Girl M8 Enkyori Poster M9 Yokaze no Shiwaza ( a part was sung by the fans) For anyone that exchanged for a ticket for Yukirin’s live, they were give a special card. Yukirin’s card to everyone were lyrics to Yokaze no Shiwaza, her hope was to have everyone sing a part of the song during the live. Main live ended at 12:45 Fans did a Yukirin Call EN1. Temodemo no Namida Ending MC To do a solo live and as top batter, I’m really happy as the are no plans for solo concert this year. I think the excitement from this will be a lead up to the next solo concert! Although I love AKB as well as NMB, I love solo concerts too so I’m really looking forward to next one! While the time was short, the time was spent with a lot fun. When people say their favorite idol, without the fans this would not have happened so I’m really truly grateful. Therefore, to be able to meet everyone at the lives and handshake events, I’m really grateful. It must be hard to work and be here during the week at this time, I will work hard so everyone also please work hard. Thank you so much! EN2. AKB48 Group will be having a Summer Festival at Makuhari Messe from 8/8 to 8/10. This event replaces the cancelled 6/14 Labrador Retriever national handshake event. The festival will feature all members of 48 group. This festival is designed so everyone can have fun, including the members. AKB48 Group will take over the entire main building. There will be 3 stages, A Stage, B Stage & C Stage, food area, etc., like any festivals. On 8/8, Yukirin will be having a solo live at A Stage from 11:30 to 12:15.’A’ stage has a capacity of 10,000 people. She will then take part in handshaking from 18:30 to 20:30 that evening. Other events will take place throughout the day in the other stages such as Team 8 will be performing on B Stage, cosplay event on C stage, etc. It was also announced today that the Janken Tournament will take place on 9/17. Unlike previous years, the winner will get to Solo Debut, if the winner has already debuted, then that winner gets a solo concert. The preliminary tournament for the sister groups will take place on B stage throughout the day on 8/8. Niconico will be streaming the preliminary Janken tournament. On 8/10, the Baitoru special live will take at the Festival. It will probably feature members from each group. Niconico will also be streaming it live. Link to NicoNico: http://live.nicovideo.jp/watch/lv188250994 At around 8/7 2:00 am, Yukirin tweeted that her rehearsal with the band for the solo live is done and also tweeted a picture. But she quickly deleted the tweet. She then followed up with tweet saying, “ah, that would have reduced the excitement towards the live. Just by miracle, if you have seen it, please keep it a secret. It’s my lifelong wish.” (LOL Yukirin so cute) I’m excited that it will feature Live band! あー!!

I will post my full handshake report later, below is just Yukirin’s part for now. The ones for Haruu and Miyupon needs editing. I also want to write about the sendoff for Sae and Nacchan at the end of the event which I participated. The handshake event was at Pacifico Yokohama. My hotel was really close by so it was a convenient walk over to the event. I had handshake tickets for Yukirin in Rounds 2, 4, 5 & 6. Round 3 is when most of the members are on break. I was rather nervous at the beginning as we were lining up in the waiting area prior to Round 2. My stomach was actually hurting for a bit. The waiting area was next to the goods lane area so there were lots of people and not a lot of space. I was surprised how nervous I got. Luckily, Yukirin’s line is always long and it gave me a lot of time to settle myself before it was time to meet her in Round 2. Yukirin was in Lane 97. Harukyan was in Lane 96 and Miichan was in the Lane 98. If there are certain things you want to say, you have to think ahead of time and be ready since you really only get about 8 secs. You can’t really go in with long sentences either or you’ll run out of time. I also find my Japanese grammar goes out the door when talking to them. LOL Yukirin started Round 2 about 20 minutes late. I wasn’t nervous by the time it was my turn. Round 2 (I walked in and noticed what Yukirin was wearing. She’s wearing a tie! Holds Yukirin hands. OMG! I get to see Yukirin again!!!) M: Good Morning! Y: Good Morning! (She had a nice smile, not the typical big big smile) M: I’m from Canada Y: Ehhhh (typical Yukirin reaction) M: It’s been a year! Y: wow (cute smile) M: I missed you! (hehe) Y: (Yukirin took away one hand and gave me thumbs up) (Times Up!) M: See you later! (waves bye bye) Y: (waves) It was obvious Yukirin was really tired, I had read earlier reports from Round 1 about Yukirin’s condition. As a fan, it kinda hurts to see your oshi so tired yet still giving their all to their fans. After Yukirin, I went to see Miyupon in Round 2. Round 4 (Yukirin seems to have rested a bit during the break and seems perkier) M:...
