Riorin & Kitarie’s Letters to Yukirin (Eng Trans)

I haven’t had time to finish the roundups about Yukirin’s birthday so I decided to post the English translation of the letters that Riorin and Kitarie wrote to Yukirin for her Birthday stage first.
Okawa Rio’s Letter to Yukirin

To Kashiwagi-San,

Happy Birthday.

On Kashiwagi-san’s very important Birthday Stage and to read a letter from someone like me, I’m very humbled but I will put all my efforts and do my best to write this.

I think the first time I met Kashiwagi-san was before the shuffle during a Umeda Team B stage. I was in charge of bringing the center chair for Kashiwagi-san’s unit song ” Namida ni Shizumu Taiyou “. I still remember vividly that quick encounter with Kashiwagi-san on the stage. I had just entered AKB at that time, but Kashiwagi-san looked me in the eye, smiled and greeted me, I remember I was super happy.

Up till now, Kashiwagi-san has constantly helped me many times. When I was troubled or down, I would always listen to Kashiwagi-san’s songs, watch solo lives and I would feel better. I would also watch all the multi-angles of Kashiwagi-san’s performance for reference.

Kashiwagi-san is really a wonderful person. Singing and dancing is perfect, can also act and is super friendly to juniors like me as well as giving us lots of advice during the concert huddle. She’s already such a perfect idol yet she is amazingly kind. I think Kashiwagi-san might be the nicest in all of AKB group.

Kashiwagi-san appears not to have much interest in other people but is well loved by members is I think due to her kindness. Up till now and from now on, she is the senior I respect the most and is the best idol.

If there is one weak point, it must be her being a rain girl (lol). During the concert at Aijinomoto Stadium, Kashiwagi-san was performing “1994-nen no raimei”, when the rain suddenly came down, I thought “Kashiwagi-san is amazing” so I also have some respect for her in that regards. Kashiwagi-san is a perfect idol yet is super friendly and nice and at times can exert such power even in the rain so I will continue to always respect her.

When I found out that on Kashiwagi-san’s memorable big event, my letter will be read, I was surprised, happy and apologetic, all these feelings mixed together (lol)

Kitarie’s Letter to Yukirin

To Yukirin,

This is the first time I was given the opportunity to write a letter. I, who has kept a just right distance with Yukirin for a long time, will begin writing.

Although Yukirin is a senior, “-san” was never added behind the name and I have always called you Yukirin directly. I often think it’s because Yukirin has such a kind and good natured personality. Up to now, I have often toyed with Yukirin. Yukirin is very kind.

Although we have never really showed it, but we are extremely good friends. The kind of friends that simply go out together, plainly taking photos together. The sense of distance between us is comfortable, I love our relationship.

But lately, the distance with Yukirin has gotten closer a bit. That’s cause I’m transferring to NGT and Yukirin will have a concurrenct position with NGT. During the announcement at Saitama Super Arena, I did not know that someone else besides me will be going to NGT. When Yukirin was announced to have a concurrent position, from the bottom of heart, I thought if it’s with Yukirin then I can do it.

In truth, up till now, such as Draft and for all the various NGT related work we did together, Yukirin has perhaps been thinking about NGT more than I have. Frankly, I thought because Yukirin must be busy so in order not to burden Yukirin, I wanted to do as much as I can regarding NGT by myself and get Yukirin to help out a bit, but instead Yukirin has tremendously thought about NGT.

So therefore, I think I will rely on you a lot so please take care of me.

If it’s with Yukirin, I think we will create the best group. I’m so glad I get to create NGT with Yukirin. I sincerely think that. As someone of the same age, privately or for work, please treat me well.

So from now on, please continue to be the good friends with your mom and watermelon loving Yukirin. Let’s go to Okinawa one day.
