3/26 AKB48 SSA Concert Yukirin News Roundup
An AKB48 only concert was held at Saitama Super Arena on March 26th titled AKB48 Spring Concert: Jikiso – Imada Shugyouchu. The day earlier was a Young Member AKB48 only concert which Yukirin watched in the same box as Takamina & Miichan.
It was a center stage configuration. The concert started with DJ Kojiharu mixing some EDM (Electronic Dance Music) and introducing some of the members which included Yukirin. Kojiharu explained after the concert that she wanted to do the EDM part because she wanted to differentiate between AKB48 from sister groups.
The concert mainly featured Team Songs and group songs. It was interesting that Team B performed To Go, a not so commonly performed song. There was also a dance battle just before Uza & Green Flash where it was Young vs Old/Legend members (Unconfirmed but Yukirin should be in the Legend group). For Uza, the arena glowed in red and of course green for Green Flash. To celebrate Mayu’s birthday, a cake was brought out by Yukirin, Tanamin, Takamina & Kojiharu. Takamina joked that this time there were cake bodyguards to prevent a certain event from happening again (in reference to Tomochin dropping the cake for Acchan on stage). They sang Namida Surprise right after.
The big announcements were of course saved for the Encore. First, the senbatsu of the 40th single was announced. The song is called Bokutachi wa Tatakawanai. The center is Paruru and features a 32 member senbatsu including Yukirin. The song is pegged as AKB48’s most difficult dance song to date.
Second, an AKB48 shuffle! All current concurrencies will be cancelled. Yukirin remains a Team B member (yay!) but she will become a concurrent member with the new group, NGT48!! As part of the shuffle, Rie was moved to NGT48 to become Captain. The auditions for NGT48 will begin April 10th with a currently set debut timeline of October 2015. Yukirin will definitely be counted on for leadership (however much time she can give.) Following the announcement, many NMB48 expressed their sadness over Yukirin leaving (separate blog post about that to follow).

Thanks for the breakdown. I can’t wait for that dance battle. I hope it was one on one and if so, I wonder who was up against yukirin heh!
And AKB’s most difficult dance number to date? That is interesting seeing the front liners and the sheer number of members. Then again maybe the dancing will be left for the PV, a la the 16 members/

Yeah that dance battle certainly sounds interesting, (@blackgeki if it was one vs one well all know we would want Yuki vs Sakura for the lols!!!)
from the recording I heard the song is already sounding good, interested to see the dance to go along with it, even if it’s a big Senbatsu and thus will look messy irregardless of how well the all dance it!!
