12/30 Yukirin News Roundup

On Dec 29, 2016, the top 48 members of the Kouhaku Uta Gassen vote was announced and Yukirin made it! So on Dec 30, AKB48 held an open rehearsal at NHK Hall in preparation for the big night. AKB48 will perform a 3-song medley, River with Sasshi and Mayu as double centre then it’ll be Flying Get and Kimi wa Melody. The Top 16 members will be announced on the screen and the first place member will get solo lines during Kimi wa Melody.

Following rehearsal, AKB48 appeared on the Japan Record Award (Record Taisho) where they received the Excellence Work Award for 365 nichi no Kami Hikouki and was a candidate for the Japan Record Award. AKB48 also performed Koisuru no Fortune Cookie. AKB48 last won the  Japan Record Award in 2012 for Manatsu no Sounds Good. Sadly, AKB48 did not win and the award went to Nishino Kana.
