6/6 Yukirin at 2015 AKB48 Sousenkyo News Roundup
The 7th Annual AKB48 Senbatsu Sousenkyo for the 41st Single took place at Fukuoka Yahoo Dome on June 6th.

Just like the last few years, Sousenkyo was MC by Tokumitsu Kazuo.
Yukirin ranked 2nd with a final vote of 167,183!!!
This is an increase of 62,819 votes from last year! Sadly, she was behind Sasshi who won 1st with 194,049 votes, a margin of 26,866 votes.

It’s my highest ranking ever! Thank you. Eh, that’s right. At the preliminary results for this year’s Sousenkyo, I was at 2nd place. I have spoken my mind and waiting for today has been the scariest of all Sousenkyo, but no matter how nervous I have been or the various emotions that I have felt coming into today, to stand on this stage in my hometown area in Kyushu with a smile, I truly feel that it’s due to the support of everyone.
That’s right…Umm…. This year is the first time I declared that “I wanted to win first place at Sousenkyo”. I have felt uneasy, wondering if it was ok to declare it. It’s unfortunate that I am unable to reach that dream but to get 2nd place…up until now I have relied on other members. Also, I have had thoughts like “I don’t want to hurt others” and “I don’t want to cause any strife”, but from now on I won’t back away from these various things anymore. General Manager Takamina-san will be graduating, Takamina-san’s presence has been so big for us that I feel a bit uneasy. But for the next general manager, Yokoyama Yui-chan, to not overburden her, I will work hard so that each and every member in AKB Group will shoulder that burden and I want AKB Group to continue to aim higher for bigger things.
I spent one year as concurrent member with NMB48. The members as well as the fans have been very kind, I have really learned a lot. In the fall, I will become a concurrent member with AKB48 Group’s new group, NGT48. For the sake of growing AKB group, I want to support NGT with this 2nd Place that I have received today so that they will become successful too. I am burning with this sense of duty.
